She learned to play hopscotch somewhere along the way. I'm not sure where but I am sure she doesn't really understand what she's doing but it doesn't really matter. I'm sure it was hopscotch that inspired her and I to hop through the better part of the grocery store this afternoon on one foot or the other. And she moves herself through the house more often than not hopping on one foot.

10-8-31

I suppose eventually I would have to run out of cars to take photographs of. The rain outside helped detour me and limit my exposure to the outside world. That, and the fact that I stepped on a carpet nailing strip, barefoot. Those buggers are sharp, and there's somewhere in the neighborhood of eight to ten punctures through the soft tissue around where my toes are attached to the rest of me. Ouch.

To be honest, the third picture of a car (yesterday) was an accident. I mean, I took the photograph on purpose, but I wasn't thinking about old cars and nostalgia etc. The scene just grabbed my attention. There have been colour photographs that I've ignored this week though, since black and white seems to be the theme. The glazed carrots I made with dinner last night displayed an indescribable orange, deep and rich, (and they tasted good too) but the photograph of them gets buried on a hard drive with so many others that will never see blog-light. Oh well.

Six down, one to go.
