A day in the shop. Taught her how to laminate a counter top, after we built a counter top. We read warning labels, wore safety equipment, used table saws and routers. She was keen. I was keen to show her. It was a good day.

On the road from Vancouver to Astoria there's this little lake by the road. It's the kind of place where you might stop for a quick swim. Or to take a photograph.

There was a sign above the bar at the Cameron House in Toronto that read, "this is paradise." I installed this bathtub on the deck of a house on Galiano Island. Paradise may be in more than one location.
