Day 4 in a row of pictures taken with a point and shoot. While it has been argued that we too often get distracted by gear I can definitively say that my little Canon S100, while taking pretty good photos, is a poor substitute for my D700. I carried the S100 because I've been playing with real, old fashioned film and have been lugging around an old school film camera and to have it and the D700 in the same bag is a daunting mass of camera to have hung on my shoulder. So the instantly uploadable shots I have are from a reasonable facsimile of a camera instead. Tomorrow, well, I don't think I'll charge the little S100 with taking another picture for a while.
