It's been a while since I've walked by this building. I still find it fascinating. Maybe not the perfect model for urban planning. Maybe not even a good building. But there's something about the hope it embodies in design and spirit.

It's been called the "China virus." That doesn't mean you can get it from eating Chinese food. I've ordered take out from here more in the last year than I did in the 9 years before the virus combined. So many restaurants in this city are shutting down. It's sad. There is no contingency plan to help small businesses in this city survive the pandemic. Every month there's a laundry list of places permanently closing.

I mean, I wish I could order "bat" from this restaurant.

Or something like that.

Their food is pretty good. And it's a block away from my house. I hope they survive.

A rather large cat finds an appropriate amount of sunshine to bask in.

An Admiral pocket watch that belongs to the mother of my child. That used to belong to her brother. And may have belonged to their grandfather. It's about 100 years old. My daughter gets it next. I need to get it cleaned and serviced first. It's a pretty special piece.

It didn't stick. But I have photographic proof that it existed for a hot minute. Snow in Vancouver. First of the year.

Cell phone pictures suck. Spider webs of light fixtures are kind of cool. Or at least they were 5 or 6 years ago.

The fine are collection grows. One alley way found piece of art at a time.

Superflux. Easily one of the best labels on a can of beer that I've ever seen. Cashiers around the world must love these. Me? The beer was excellent. I'll buy it again.
