Even "new" cameras patina, though not in the lovely way old cameras "brass." It's go some miles on it. I've taken more pictures with a Canon G5x lately. The vast majority of them, actually, because the camera is smaller. But this D750 takes a better photograph.
The idea of getting something newer and smaller crosses my mind a lot lately. It might mean changing ecosystems for the first time in about 20 years. Nikon to Sony? Is Sony the future? It might be my future.
I like the wear marks on this old camera. The Sigma ART f/1.4 lens was bought on a whim on a trip to Calgary some time after I moved away from there. The Camera Store was my store of choice, and they had it in stock. It's an impulse buy I don't regret. If there's a new camera in my future the first lens it will get is a decent 35mm prime.
