Christie stop. There's not much to these little stations but they are gems.

13-11-11

La Hacienda has been on Queen St for over 20 years. Same great food and service. It feels like home.

13-11-10

The TTC font is very comforting.

Kum Jug Yen was a source of sustenance for years. BBQ pork on rice for $5. I think it's still the same price. One day we noticed the guy chopping the meat in the window was missing a finger. We appreciated his sacrifice.

13-11-7

Henry Moore sculptures and a bit of the old AGO in the back ground. They've renovated the AGO, scraped off the new facade, and renovated it again since the bit you see here was done. I like this bit more than both of the additions. Frank Gehry is a bit over-rated.

Torrential rains yesterday. The reprieve came quickly. The sun was a welcome and unsuspected visitor today.

Schnapps from Vienna.

13-11-1

I don't know if posting the same picture twice lends me credibility or just proves how consistently stupid I am.

I've taken to walking a lot lately. I can't explain it, except this is about as good as this city looks past sunset in the fall. Not particularly good. But I'm alright with that. Well, probably not. But what else was I going to do?

13-10-29

A rare cropped photo. Apparently it's snowing in Calgary. Ontario is experiencing temperatures in the mid teens. And Vancouver is having one of the driest Octobers on record reminding me of why I like fall so much. Between snowy Calgary falls and rainy Vancouver ones, it's been a while since I've felt the crunch of leaves underfoot.

13-10-28

The first, out walking after midnight last night, or early today. The second, sunny day. I like the little shrubs that are probably planted shortly after the house is built that eventually grow as big as this. It's comforting somehow, though I'm not exactly sure how.

13-10-27

The clocks will be changing soon. There will be many more photos taken in the dark. Only seven more weeks and the days will be getting longer again...

13-10-24

It's been the foggiest fall I can remember here.

13-10-23

Pigeon Park revisited. Possibly for the last time.

It's enough to make you want to buy a wood stove.

13-10-19

I made cookies tonight. Brown butter, two types of chocolate chips, and a Nutella filling. A dash of sea salt to finish. Amazing cookies.

Vancouver's love affair with the big W continues, but less than 4 years after the replica W was hoisted into place it came down for some maintenance and a facelift.

Sophie's second skating lesson. She can't wait to get on the ice and when she was done, like at the end of her first lesson, "I want to skate more!!!!"

13-10-14

Leaf. (do you see it?)
