18-3-11
I never tire of the view, even if it seems like a cop out for a daily image. It's easy to snag this at the end of the day, but that's not why I do it. It's a great thing I get to look at many days of the year. The clocks flipped last night. It's starting to feel like spring.

I'm going to take this for a spin tomorrow. Hard part is, I don't remember if there's film in it, but the counter is at 3, so maybe?? There's no winder to watch spin as you advance to the next frame so I don't know what's happening in the big butt of this Mamiya (film in the rear). On the up side, only 15 shots per roll so I'll know pretty quickly if I'm getting pictures or not.

Vitamin D.
The science vs the poetic. It's always a struggle. I get it, I get it. The sun hits your face and UVB rays are absorbed by your skin which converts it with surprising efficiency into vitamin D. And then you get fancy strong bones and stuff because with vitamin D your body can take Calcium and make it into strong stuff.
There are suggestions that Vitamin D will also help you stave off cancer of the breast or prostate type, so it's an equal opportunity cancer resister. It might help fight depression, high blood pressure, and some other stuffs too, though there's little evidence of some of this stuff. But strong bones are a good thing, and it definitely helps with that.
It just felt good to have the sun on my face. What's the scientific argument for that?
