Henckels made in Germany. It's seen a lot of use. I've put an edge back on it and it cuts quite well. It's been sharpened so many times that the bolster stands proud of the blade heel so I'll have to figure a way to clamp it down so I can file it back and shape it. I wanted to verify I could get it to cut a tomato first, and it works just fine, so now I'll fix the rest of it. I might refinish the wood handle too. Built for a lifetime of use. In this case it will be two lifetimes.
