20-6-4

When you're looking through old photographs it's the odd ones, the outliers, that often garner more attention. Pictures of banal things, like a desk you used to sit at, or the dashboard of a car you used to own. Things that you would see every day and not give much consideration. Like this narrow little walkway between the alley behind my house and my back yard. Thousands of times I've traversed this space. The cinder block wall has a lean, the siding is a moss farm, and that little kink at the far end is probably where my property line is but I don't know for sure. This is a space that plays a role in my life. And before today I don't think I've ever photographed it. And now I have photographed it.
