Banksyland came to Vancouver. While it was interesting to see original Banksy works in person, the exhibit was a scam and a bit of a ripoff. Tickets weren't scanned. The crowds weren't managed well. The exhibits were badly curated. There were relatively few works.
Reviews of the Toronto stop of the tour universally panned the event. Vancouver reviews quickly piled on suggesting it was a scam and a rip-off. I would agree. Still, it was interesting to see Banksy works in person, though I'm not 100% convinced they were genuine pieces considering the backlash and criticism of the even in general.
Living and learning. If I wasn't so starved for engaging art in Vancouver....
