17-2-3

More snow. Enough snow already.

17-2-2

Bread cook book. I accept the challenge.

I place the stickers just so, so I have the proof of how long I've owned the damned thing. I've owned it for more than four years, and it owes me nothing. And now the car is gone.

17-1-31

Two Pathfinders. The one at the back, well, it has a rusted out wheel well and the suspension has poked through. The one at the front is also mine. It has very little in the way of rust as it's lived its whole life in BC. The one at the back goes to the wreckers tomorrow. The one at the front will hopefully take me all over the place. Moab in March, probably. And other places, hopefully.

Home.

This man took the oath this morning.

So I loaded up the Pathfinder and drove south to see how things had changed.

Sourdough. I'm not one for bragging, but this was pretty incredible. Very incredible. There will be more.

17-1-18

 Sourdough.

17-1-13

I'm a day away from attempting sourdough bread from scratch, as in, the only ingredients will be flour, water, and salt. It's a week long process getting this started. I'm looking forward to Saturday. And bread.

It's the first time in years that Trout Lake has frozen over and you can skate on it. And it's the first time ever that I've felt like walking to work, or taking transit, was a better option than riding a bicycle. There's a light that bathes the skytrain station each morning that I kind of love. I'm not sure this photo captures it, but it's close. Still, I can't wait until I can ride a bicycle to work again.

This kid likes her chocolate chip pancakes on the weekend. That's good because I like making them for her.

That's a lot of vignetting for a two thousand dollar lens at f/8. The spots are stars. I think.

17-1-3

Short days. There's always more night shots when it's dark at 5, but I managed to get out of work a bit early and walking home I found the last of the day's light.

16-12-30

End of the year bonus pictures. And black and white is where it's at? Maybe? Despite the van being a beautiful shade of teal, somehow black and white made the most sense today. For me anyway. And this is about me, right?

There is no reason for pictures to be black and white anymore. There was a time when that was all that was possible. But really, colour is easy. This is all about nostalgia. I guess I'm alright with that.
