I'm certain there is some underlying theme of consumerism and disposable societies on this day when so many of us are pressured into showing our love for others by buying them something. There's an idea of technology vs. religion there too. "timing is everything." You would have to know this picture was taken on Christmas.

My daughter, she's in here as a reminder of the linear nature of this project, a constant that exhibits all too clearly how much time does pass in a year. Photograph #5 on January 18 was the first time she appeared. 11 months later and she's changed so much.

This is the view out of my skylight each morning in the attic loft of my house. I see the sun rise most every day.

It's 10 or so days from the shortest day of the year, light is a valuable commodity that I rarely get to exploit but the Christmas lights are affordable and showing up all over the place in dreamlike landscapes.

In a perfect world it would be interesting to revisit each picture taken one year later and recreate it. This is a recreation in spirit or an evolution of the narrative of one of the earliest pictures in this project.

It feels like that point in a long road trip where you're finally traveling the familiar streets near your home a little later than you planned and you're tired but you know the end is near and that's enough to keep you awake just a little bit longer.

The green of the mural is distracting but other than that I like it. I think a series of images of chairs in alleyways by back doors may be in order though. I've taken this picture in spirit a dozen times.

Makes you want to live there. Or not. I don't understand why this exists. I don't know how anyone would sell 40 hours of their life each week to live in one of these boxes.

Only 55 days to got until the completion of this project. I'm wondering if I will stop or if this has become too habit forming to let it end so abruptly.

It was the great circus train wreck of 2007. Eli the Elephant lost his life, as did the ring master and the elephant trainer. The rumors of their elicit affair were never proven.

This one is very intriguing for me. Perhaps because it's a departure from the architectural theme, perhaps because it has a depth that many of the pictures have lacked lately. It's chock full of narrative and metaphor. And unlike the last driving picture it's taken from the driver's seat.
