Two photos. Perhaps making up for yesterday. Two different cameras. Two different times of day. The first is from a new point and shoot that arrived today, a Canon S100. I had an S90. It was the best point and shoot camera I've ever had but the S100 has a wider wide angle, a longer zoom, better low light performance, and shoots HD video. The second picture was taken by a FujiFilm X100 that I got because as much as I liked the S90 photos they weren't as good as my big camera and the X100 promised to deliver excellent photos without the bulk of a DSLR.

So what have I learned from all this? Not much.

I didn't think I had missed any days this year, never mind the fourth day of the year, but I can't find a photo with today's date on it. Not good form, to say the least, but like when you get a new car, the first scratch is the hardest one to deal with but once it's out of the way the rest of them are easier to accept. So it looks like 2012 has a scratch in it. Oh well.

First picture of the year. Another 2 seconds and I would have missed it. The macro lens has made me lazy thinking I just need to find some odd bobble floating around my life and I can just take a close up of it and get some sort of decent photo. I would need better lights, or at least not crap lights, for that to be the case. I don't things are going to change any time soon.
