Henri is 92 years old or so. He came for turkey, and it was a pleasure.

Those filters have lived at the left edge of my Lightroom program for years before I started clicking on them a day or two ago. Is it cheating?

Orange snow fencing protecting trees for decades in Vancouver.

My knee. There's a remote control for the D750. Rather, there's two different remotes, probably more. One is made by Nikon and costs around $20. The other is in my hand in this photo and it costs $5.95 and will be delivered to your door in two days by Amazon if you ask them nicely and give them six bucks or so. You can't see what the framing is, or the focus point; strange that when you're not looking through the viewfinder when you push the button on the remote, but when you push the button on the remote the camera isn't too particular about how much the remote cost.

Potato. Heart of the Earth. Soul of the human diet. Loved, but not adored.

Medium format for $40. I expect to be disappointed.

Batmobile lost it's wheels and the Joker got away...

400mm focal length. This might be one of only two photographs I've ever posted with a 400mm focal length, and the other one was of the moon....

This man is a superhero. I was helping him help marginalized people and housing challenged people on his lunch break from his day job, which was helping marginalized and housing challenged people. His heart and soul is in it.

Fuji digital cameras have "film modes" jammed into their microchips. This is "Velvia Vivid." Does that count as "no filter??"

I almost ate here once but got it on good authority it wasn't very good. Shame, because the sign is pretty great.

There's something inherently wrong with the aspect ratio of the camera in my cell phone, but it takes pretty amazing photos at night, and through chain link fences too. Strange days.

19-11-24

I went for a walk today. With Sophie. And cameras. It was a great day.

Low, cold, morning light.

When it's not raining, the light is lovely this time of year in Vancouver, except that it's gone by 5pm.
