Home to "noise" on any given night. It used to be a strip joint and if you walked by the Cobalt on a hot summer night when the front door was propped open and you were lucky you would be able to see all the way to the back of the building where naked ladies graced the stage. You can see in lights above the door the word "girl." The lights are still there for the "girls girls girls" marquee but only the central "girl" still lights up promising a single female entity within its confines. It, like most everything else in this city, is slated for gentrification. One day a nice, comfortable brew pub will be conveniently found here but in the mean time I hope to spend more time at the Cobalt where, at last call, you can buy a king can of Pilsner and they might "forget" to open it for you.
