I couldn't deal with the first pic I posted for this day. I like this one a lot more. It's not that I don't want to post pictures of my daughter. I like this one as it captures the confusion that undoubtedly exists in a one year olds perception of "stuff" on her birthday when her home is invaded by strangers crouching around her and there's boxes full of brightly coloured things wrapped in brightly coloured paper. That's why this image is black and white, to remove the brilliance of the present and to focus on the mind trying to absorb and make sense of it all.
