Like blackheads, Vancouver is obsessed with scraping bits of itself off of itself. Relentless, this city is, in the effort to destroy itself. It's insane. Sold in 1976 for $75000, and again in 1995 for $760000. Twenty years later, 2015, and it's worth $3370000. 2 years later and it's assessed at $4121000 by the city.

No, this photo isn't of the house in the article. They don't let hooligans like me into those neighborhoods. My house has gone up in value by about a million dollars in the 8 or 9 years I've owned, give or take. I don't understand it. I don't know if I want to understand it.
