14-9-2

Fourth day in the garage. Yesterday saw the beginning of lights turned on by a light switch instead of a power bar like they had been for five years, and today I added two more fixtures to the circuit so most corners of the garage are reasonably well lit. And then I started to shuffle fixtures around. There isn't an outlet for it yet but the compressor found its home in the back corner. And I put the milling machine where it will stay. The fridge is still full of mold and needs to be washed and the rat's nest (literally) cleared out from around the compressor, and then plugged in, and then a trip to the liquor store for a quantity of beer. Small battles fought and won. Slowly fought and won.

It felt good to start putting frame building machines in place. Everything needs a thorough cleaning, and I'll have to invest in some steel wool to remove some rust from the bigger machines that are usually preserved by hand grease and cutting oil. "A rolling stone gathers no moss" comes to mind. Four long days, and more to come.
